An Early Faithful Friday: World Down Syndrome Day is March the 21st
By: Debbie Waltz
As I prepare to go on break and attend a virtual disability retreat, I would be remiss to mention today is World Down Syndrome Day. The United Nations has celebrated this day since 2012 as part of an ongoing effort to see Down Syndrome as a uniqueness rather than a disability. Just because they have an extra chromosome doesn’t make them different from you and me. Like us, they still dream about what the future holds for them, yet they can hold on to their faith and not be easily jaded by the things of this world.
