Music Monday: “God Really Loves Us,” by Crowder, Dante Bowe (featuring Maverick City)

After a lot of thought, we are opting for self-publishing for my book. Those who subscribe to my newsletter will get the details before anyone else. I’m excited my book is being published, but I’m also nervous about what people will think. This 25-year project occurred during a period that was both the most rewarding and challenging of my life. I am both thrilled and eager to see my writing in print, and I hope the process goes smoothly. Consequently, I’ve chosen to publish my blogs bi-weekly instead of tri-weekly, freeing the last day of every week for any tasks that may arise for my team during the publishing phase. Provided everything unfolds as expected, the book will launch in March 2026. I’m also thrilled to share that Lighthouse Magazine will publish one of my articles in its September edition. The theme was essentially “Don’t stop, don’t quit, but persevere.”

Although this is good news, I can’t help but wonder what the impact of my writing will be. Even though I am a Christian, my insecurities continue to affect me as a writer. Throughout our study of Hebrews, we’ve seen how the author of the book encourages Christians to stand firm in their faith.  His explanation highlights the superiority of Jesus’ ministry when compared to Jewish traditions. By acting as both our high priest and our atoning sacrifice, Jesus did away with the requirement of animal sacrifices while also reviving our souls and bestowing upon us a renewed sense of purpose.

In my past blogs, I’ve frequently referred to our mission as Christ’s ambassadors, bringing the good news to a wounded world. The transformation we undergo spiritually shows what Jesus can achieve for those who earnestly seek Him.As 1 Peter 3:15 reminds us, “Always be prepared to give an answer to anyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

The song “God Really Loves Us” by Crowder illustrates the potent influence that comes from having a relationship with Jesus. Our response should stem from a grateful heart. We should appreciate God not only for the transformative power of God to work in our lives, but for Who He is.
